Ed August is a lifelong Joplin resident who has proudly called the community home for 59 years. As a Project Manager at Ridgeline Roofing and Solar, Ed brings a thoughtful, problem solving mindset to the roofing industry. With about a year and a half of experience in roofing, he chose this career because it allows him to help property owners while tackling real challenges. For Ed, the most rewarding part of the job is guiding homeowners through roofing issues and delivering a roof they can rely on for years to come.

One of Ed’s most satisfying experiences involved working with two homes that had premature roofing failures. Diagnosing the issues and helping find the right solutions gave him a strong sense of accomplishment. Ed believes Ridgeline stands apart because of its commitment to quality and the ongoing education of its team members. His goal is simple but powerful. He wants to continue learning through hands on experience and training so he can become the best roofing professional possible for the homeowners he serves.

Outside of work, Ed loves spending time on the water. Sailing, jet skiing, fishing, and kayaking are some of his favorite ways to relax. He also enjoys weekends at the lake and spending time with his dog Poppy, a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog who has quickly become the center of attention at home. Ed has long been active in the Joplin community through organizations like the Chamber of Commerce, the Home Builder’s Association, and Downtown Joplin Alliance. And here is a fun fact about Ed. Every year at Christmas, he celebrates the season by riding his jet ski.
