Following the intense March 15th storms, Arnold, Missouri is among several areas hit hard by golf ball-sized hail and high winds. The team at Ridgeline Roofing & Solar responded quickly to assess the damage and begin helping homeowners and businesses recover.
Tim Yates was on the ground early in the morning, inspecting multiple properties where hail impacts were visibly embedded into the shingle matting—a clear sign of potential long-term roof compromise. Even though the hail wasn’t the largest on record, its density and velocity caused extensive surface damage, including:
- Cracked and dented shingles
- Damaged siding and broken windows
- A missing heat vent pipe cap, likely torn off by a combination of wind and hail impact
Hail damage isn’t always obvious from the ground. Over time, those small divots weaken the integrity of the roof and can lead to leaks and premature deterioration if not addressed promptly. Additionally, this type of storm activity often qualifies as a “peril” under most insurance policies, meaning you may be eligible for a roof replacement or repair with minimal out-of-pocket expense.
Whether you’re in Arnold, Joplin, Grove, Carthage, or beyond, Ridgeline Roofing & Solar is here to help. We provide residential and commercial inspections, emergency tarping, insurance claim assistance, and full roof replacements across the Four States region and beyond.

Video Transcript: "Good morning. Tim Yates, Ridgeline Roofing and Solar. I'm in Arnold, Missouri this morning. It says it's hail damage. Got some calls from a couple of friends.
We appreciate that. So we're, looking at these roofs. I had some really serious hail here. This was only golf ball sized hail. You can see what it did to the shingles.
It made a big mess. So over time, these hail hits also wash out and get worse. These are actually dividend into the matting with these shingles. You can see, lots of siding, lots of windows, quite a bit of damage. This one lost the heat vent pipe cap as well.
Probably a cross between getting hit with the hill and the highway as it came through. So, we're gonna we're gonna keep going and keep trying to get everybody in the dry. So y'all have a good day."
